Whether your child already loves singing, dancing, and acting, or could just use an opportunity to explore who they are and make new friends in a positive environment, Stage Kids classes are a great way to keep your child growing and laughing this year!
Stage Kids is an educational theater program that focuses on developing character. We see the value of having children develop skills in classes in addition to participating in shows. For this reason, simultaneous enrollment in a class is required while in the cast of a show. Stage Kids knows that kids grow in confidence when they grow in skills!
REMINDER: Participants can fulfill the class requirement for The Wizard of Oz during Winter classes OR Spring classes.
New Stage Kids Parents: We are excited for your kids to grow with us! Children participating in Stage Kids programs must be fully potty trained. We find that kids are more successful when parents don't stay for the class. Please contact us if you have any concerns.
When registering two or more siblings classes, or when registering one child for two classes, a discount of 20% will automatically be applied to the additional registration(s).
Our Intro to Theater-1 class provides a supportive, creative environment in which each student can

workshop, students will explore stage design using models and miniatures while learning stagecraft

Featuring Dawn McCormick, who brings 37 years of experience as a high school

The Teen Apprenticeship Program (TAP) begins with this 7-hour training
class that helps launch students on the path toward becoming theater professionals. Led by Stage
Kids' Artistic Director, Lana Bromiley, students learn what it takes to produce live
theater—from choreography and stage management to everything backstage and in between.
After
finishing this class, "tappers" gain valuable real-world experience by completing an
application, building a resume, and interviewing with the Artistic Director. Then they move to
working on internships supporting Stage Kids classes and productions. Once all TAP requirements are
completed, tappers become eligible to be considered for paid positions on future Stage Kids staff
teams.

Step behind the microphone and discover the magic of old-time radio! Students will bring Treasure Island to life as they follow young Jim Hawkins on a thrilling adventure filled with pirate treasure, mutiny, and high-seas excitement. Students will learn the art of voice acting by creating unique characters, using vocal expression, and telling stories without costumes or sets. They'll also explore the fun of "Foley" by creating live sound effects that bring the adventure to life. The session concludes with a live radio theater performance for family and friends.

Kyle loves kids, theater, and bringing larger-than-life characters to the stage—you may have spotted him as Warner Huntington III in this year's Apple Blossom production of Legally Blonde and as Burt in Stage Kids' production of Mary Poppins. Step into a world of secrets, suspects, and suspicious characters in this immersive Murder Mystery theater class! Each student will become a character with their own story, motives, and secrets—and one of them is the murderer. The catch? No one knows who it is.
As the mystery unfolds, students will develop their characters, investigate clues, question suspects, and uncover hidden secrets. Could the quietest character be hiding something? Can you trust your fellow detectives? And what clues will finally reveal the truth?
Students will dress in character and bring their roles to life throughout the class. At the final Class Act showcase, the mystery will unfold before an audience of family members, who will become detectives themselves as they follow the clues and try to answer the ultimate question: WHO DID IT?

The Teen Apprenticeship
Program (TAP) begins with this 7-hour training class that helps launch students on the path toward
becoming theater professionals. Led by Stage Kids' Artistic Director, Lana Bromiley, students
learn what it takes to produce live theater—from choreography and stage management to everything
backstage and in between.
After finishing this class, "tappers" gain valuable
real-world experience by completing an application, building a resume, and interviewing with the
Artistic Director. Then they move to working on internships supporting Stage Kids classes and
productions. Once all TAP requirements are completed, tappers become eligible to be considered for
paid positions on future Stage Kids staff teams.

How do set designers bring their creative ideas to life? In this hands-on
workshop, students will explore stage design using models and miniatures while learning stagecraft
terminology, stage elements, and design fundamentals. They’ll put their creativity to work designing
a stage of their own, considering everything from the director’s vision and the script’s time period
to stage dimensions and audience sightlines. Discover how imagination, problem-solving, and a little
theatrical magic can transform an empty stage into a whole new world!

Ready to nail your next audition? Come learn the tips, tricks, and tools
to shine onstage! This workshop covers all three components of a musical theater audition—acting,
singing, and dance. Students will learn how to prepare, what directors look for, how to approach
scripts and callbacks, and how to put their best foot forward. Through hands-on activities and mock
auditions, they’ll build confidence and gain skills for future auditions—and maybe even a job
interview!
Featuring Dawn McCormick, who brings 37 years of experience as a high school
choral director, primarily at Wenatchee and Cashmere High Schools, where she also served as vocal
director for nearly two dozen musicals. She has worked with Music Theatre of Wenatchee and
Leavenworth Summer Theater and currently serves as Music Director for the Wenatchee Apollo Club.

explore the art of mime, using their bodies, facial expressions, and imagination to create

Meet Nadine Blanchard! With decades of experience in theater, education, and mime,
Nadine trained with professional Hollywood mime Don McLeod, developing her passion for movement,
physical comedy, and storytelling without words. In her four years at Stage Kids, she's taught
advanced acting, puppetry, and ITT-1 and -2. This year, she's also helping design and build
larger-than-life stage puppets, bringing even more magic to Stage Kids productions!

Education is the core of Stage Kids’ programs—this is where kids develop most! Class participation is, therefore, a REQUIREMENT for show participation. ITT-1 and ITT-2 must be completed before students can take electives. Students may participate in a show while taking a core class.

Stage Kids partners with Miss Becca Allen of The Next Step Dance Studio in Cashmere to offer advanced dance class instruction. In order to have your child's affiliate dance instruction satisfy the class requirement for participation in a Spotlight Production, please follow these steps:
Step 1: Register using the link below. Cost: $26 (This registration alone does not enroll your child for affiliate dance classes at The Next Step Dance Studio.)
Step 2: Visit The Next Step Dance Studio website to register your performer for the advanced dance class of your choice. (You will need to ensure that your child attends all classes in the selected session. Miss Becca will need to verify your performer's attendance on the form referred to in Step 3 [below]).
Step 3: Submit the Affiliate Instructor Form
(which you will receive in the confirmation email after registration). This form must be filled out by Miss
Becca when the dance session is complete. Once the form is complete, please email it to info@stagekidswa.org or mail to Emi England, PO 1794, Wenatchee, WA
98807.
(We will accept a maximum of 6 affiliate dance instruction students per season.)

Our Class Act is an "informance" for kids to share what they've learned in their classes! In most classes this takes place during the last 15 minutes of their final class. Parents will receive an email with the Class Act information.
We want every child to have the chance to experience the life-giving power of musical theater, so as we are able, we offer scholarships to cover a portion of program registration fees (between 10% - 70%) based on a family's financial need.
To apply for a scholarship you must first register your child(ren) and pay the deposit, then look for the link to apply for a scholarship in your confirmation email! The scholarship deadline for Winter Classes is December 14.

Whether your child already loves singing, dancing, and acting, or could just use an opportunity to explore who they are and make new friends in a positive environment, Stage Kids shows are a great way to keep your kiddo growing and laughing this year!
Stage Kids is an educational theater program that focuses on developing character. We see the value of having children develop skills in classes in addition to participating in shows. For this reason, simultaneous enrollment in a class is required while in the cast of a show. Stage Kids knows that kids grow in confidence when they grow in skills!
When registering two or more siblings for a show, a discount of 20% will automatically be applied to the additional registration(s).
Kids enjoy theater games, crafts, and themed fun while you enjoy dinner and a show.
This event is a fundraiser to help our performers attend the Junior Theater Festival in California this February!

Robinette, Charlotte’s Web is the heartwarming story of unlikely friendship, love, and sacrifice. Wilbur, a
small young pig, is afraid of being sold or killed, but Charlotte, a kind and clever spider, becomes his
best friend. When Charlotte learns that Wilbur’s life is in danger, she begins a campaign to save him using
the “miracle” of her web. Her efforts ultimately succeed, but with a bittersweet ending: Wilbur discovers
that true friendship sometimes means making sacrifices for someone you love. Through their extraordinary
friendship, Wilbur learns about loyalty and courage, while Charlotte teaches him the lasting power of
selfless love.

Join Dorothy and her loyal companion Toto as they “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” through the Land of Oz, determined to reach the Emerald City, where the great and powerful Wizard of Oz will help them get home. Of course, along the way, Dorothy encounters witches (both good and bad), Munchkins, talking trees and winged monkeys. But most importantly, she befriends three unique characters: a Scarecrow with no brain, a Tin Man with no heart, and a Lion with no “nerve.” Their journey to happiness – and self-awareness – is a glowing testament to friendship, understanding and hope in a world filled with both ugliness and beauty.

When Ren and his mother move from Chicago to a small farming town, he is prepared for the inevitable adjustment period at his new high school. What he isn't prepared for are the rigorous local edicts, including a ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher, determined to exercise the control over the town's youth that he cannot command in his own home. When the reverend's rebellious daughter sets her sights on Ren, her roughneck boyfriend tries to sabotage Ren's reputation, with many of the locals eager to believe the worst about the new kid. The heartfelt story that emerges is of a father longing for the son he lost and of a young man aching for the father who walked out on him.

Stage Kids' summer camps are a great way to create more empathetic, creative, and outgoing children. It’s great for new children to give Stage Kids a try, as kids have a chance to build friendships and have fun over a short period of time. Our summer camps do not require any parental volunteer time.
When registering two or more siblings for camps, or when registering one child for two or more camps, a discount of 20% will automatically be applied to the additional registration(s).
Kids will love our fun-filled, musical theater summer camps! Campers learn songs, play theater games, learn choreography, do crafts, and more! This camp is the perfect introduction to theater, helping young performers build confidence and grow a lasting love of the stage. Each showcase camp culminates in a mini performance on the final day for friends and family to enjoy.
Young performers who want to be in a fully staged production will love our summer production camps! Campers will learn songs, choreography and blocking, play theater games, assist in set and prop construction, and more!
In this hands-on theater tech intensive, students will dive into the exciting world behind the scenes. Throughout the week, participants will explore the fundamentals of lighting design and programming, sound design and programming, and the essential role of stage management. Students will learn proper stage terminology, practice calling cues, and gain an introduction to working safely with a fly system. The week will culminate in a real-life experience working on a Stage Kids’ production.

Stage Kids envisions a community where every child discovers their voice, grows in character, and develops the confidence to make a lasting, positive difference—on stage and in life.
We believe our best hope for the future is our local youth. We cannot solve the challenges they will face, but we can equip them with the life skills, character, and relationships to face those challenges successfully for themselves. Being geographically close to us, we can surround them with a community of support and shared values.
Musical theater is a powerful medium for teaching life skills, developing character, and forming strong relationships. Stage Kids learn and practice self-awareness, confidence, responsibility, empathy, teamwork, creative problem solving, artistry, and much more. Our success is not measured by the number of tickets sold or a flawless performance; we measure our success by the growth each Stage Kid experiences in the process of participating.

Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis for all programs. A deposit is required upon registration in order to reserve a space in the program. All cancelation requests must submitted in writing.
All cancellations are subject to a $25 processing fee.
Refunds for classes, shows & camps:
Stage Kids reserves the right to cancel any program that does not meet enrollment requirements.
